Let's raise €40,000 together for 2026
Kritika's website made its online debut on January 31st, 2025. In its 11 months of existence, we have established a new press organ, capable of having its say on numerous topics, taking sides and choosing priorities, and offering innovations and original ideas.
We have no capital or capitalists behind us. Everything we've achieved has been made possible by people who have helped us financially with donations both small and large, from €1 to €500 and beyond. In total, we raised approximately €20,000 in 2025, at least half of which was spent on reimbursing collaborators, journalists and editorial staff.
We consider it a good start, but it is well short of the needs of a publication that aims to offer quality daily information.
For 2026, our aim is to raise at least €40,000, more than half of which will be spent on compensating the articles and work produced by our freelance contributors, offering them rates in line with the upper end of the online journalism market, increasing the number of articles we will publish, and undertaking increasingly complex projects.
All the rest will be spent on managing the masthead and remunerating editorial work.
