She has worked on the ground in various conflict zones, from Palestine and Israel to Syria and Ukraine. She holds a degree in Arabic language, literature, and culture, with a thesis on modern literature in Syria and Palestine. Since 2013, she has focused on Syria, publishing news articles and in-depth features in Italian newspapers. That same year, she began her humanitarian work, spending the last decade working primarily with Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Syria, Turkey, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, and Italy. She holds a degree in English Language and Teaching Methodologies from Al-Aqsa University in Gaza, and has also obtained a Continuing Professional Development certificate in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Awareness through an online course at University College Cork, Ireland. She teaches Arabic to non-native speakers and, through her bilingual writing, seeks to preserve memory and build bridges between cultures.3 Articles
